Resizing images using GIMP

GIMP or GNU Image Maniputation Tool is an open source image editing package similar to Photoshop which you can  download for free from https://www.gimp.org/.


Open (or create) an image of the correct size and the image you want to resize.



Switch to the image you want to resize then press [CTRL A] to select all and [CTRL C] to copy the image to the clipboard.


Now switch back to the image of the correct size and click [CTRL V] to paste.



Press [Shift T] to transform the image and drag the corners until the image is the correct height or width you need.



Select the Move tool



Then drag the image to where you need it to be.



Finaly select "Export As" to save the new image.
